As an author affiliated with Farnham Literary Festival, I visited Highfield South Farnham Primary School's Year 2 students.
It was a fantastic morning! I read Bella and her Super Banana Bread to each class of 30 students. They were all so engrossed and engaged - it was really lovely to see.
It helped that the story is engaging - with themes of friendship and about overcoming fears, laced with humour, a smattering of nutrition, and a surprise twist at the end. But it may also have helped that I took a mini banana loaf for each student to enjoy after story-time.
Whilst I signed copies of the book for the children, they were busy colouring in activity sheets (which is available to download for free).
I think the kids had as much fun as I did judging from the feedback!
