Refund policy
Returns & Sweet Farewells
Our return policy extends a generous 30 days. If 30 sunsets have passed since your book's arrival, alas, we cannot offer a refund or exchange. Time flies with a good read in hand!
For a successful return, your book must be unused, unread, and in the same mint condition you received it, nestled in its original packaging.
Refunds (the hopeful part)
Once we embrace your returned book and verify its condition, we'll notify you by email. This will either be a happy confirmation of your refund or a regretful decline. If approved, your refund will glide back to your credit card or original payment method within a few days.
Late or missing refunds (a detective story)
Refund yet to show? Double-check your bank account, then consult your credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is formally processed. Next, contact your bank. Some processing time before a refund is posted is typical. Still nothing? Contact us at hello@storybakes.com. Generally, though, refunds are swift.
Sale items (the exclusives)
Only regular priced items may be refunded; unfortunately, sale items are not eligible.
Exchanges (the swap)
If your book is defective or damaged, we will exchange it. For an exchange, email us at hello@storybakes.com.
Gifts (the kind gesture)
If the book was a gift sent directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the book wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
Shipping (the journey back)
To return your product, please email us at hello@storybakes.com for instructions.
You will be responsible for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
If you are shipping an item over £75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item, but we certainly hope to.
Cancellations (changing your mind)
We require at least 1 week's notice prior to the scheduled delivery date for cancellation.
Cancellations after this date but before two weeks from the delivery date will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 1 week of the delivery date will not be refunded.
